Colombo Morenicol Lernex Pro: The advanced water treatment against resistant Skin, Gill and internal worms in pond fish.

This product, which contains the active ingredients Praziquantel and Nitroscanate, offers a unique solution for parasites that are resistant to traditional treatments.

Lernex pro contains, among other things, the active substance for resistance: Praziquantel & Nitroscanate. An innovative formula for maximum effectiveness.

Lernex Pro uses the latest scientific insights and contains high-quality anti-worm agents such as Nitroscanate and Flubendazole. This composition is effective against resistant skin flukes (Gyrodactylus) and gill flukes (Dactylogyrus), which can only be identified under a microscope.

Anchor worms, carp lice and leeches cannot be treated with Lernex Pro, the Lernex product (without Pro) is very suitable for this.

Symptoms of Parasitic Infestation

Fish parasites cause various symptoms such as lethargy, rubbing, jumping, loss of appetite, lying on the bottom, pinched fins and the use of only one gill.

Instructions for Use for Optimal Results

  • Dosage : 1 ml per 20 liters of pond water.
  • Volume calculation : Length x width x average depth in decimeters = volume in liters.
  • Water quality : Test before and after treatment for optimal healing.
  • Temperature Dependent Treatment Interval : Adjust the frequency of treatment based on water temperature.
  • After-treatment : Use Colombo Fish Protect and Vita-Spray for maximum healing.

Important

If necessary, the treatment can be repeated after 14 days. Ensure good aeration so that your fish always have sufficient oxygen. The required amount of Lernex Pro can be measured with the supplied measuring cup. This amount should be poured slowly into the pond water in a place where there is a lot of current, for example the outflow of the pump or filter. Do not filter over carbon or zeolite; Keep UV lamps and ozone devices switched off for 1 week after the last application.

Use the product Colombo Fish Protect 48 hours after the last administration of Lernex Pro, this protects the mucous membrane and binds residues of the product. Adding Colombo Vita-Spray to the food provides maximum support for healing.

After treatment for gill fluke

For gill worm, treat 3 times with an interval of:

  • 20 degrees - 5 days.
  • 15 degrees - 7 days.
  • 10 degrees -10 days.
  • 4-6 degrees - 13 days.

Warning:

  • After adding Lernex Pro, the activity of the parasites is initially increased. This irritates the fish, which can dart through the water and even jump out of the pond. Therefore, keep a close eye on the fish during and after treatment! Cover the pond with a net if possible.
  • Only for use with ornamental fish in ponds.
  • Keep out of the reach of children, in the box between 4 and 32°C.
  • Avoid contact with eyes and skin.
  • Close the lid properly.
  • Wash hands after use.
  • Effect on other animals: Little is known about the effect on other aquatic animals, such as frogs and salamanders.
  • Pets and birds that drink from the pond with these products in it. As a rule, it can be said that if fish can swim in it, it is harmless to animals that only drink from it. Nevertheless, it makes sense to simply give pets (e.g. dogs and cats) that are used to drinking from the pond a bowl of water during the treatment.

Decomposition:

Administered agents will disappear automatically in ponds due to natural processes, such as oxidation and degradation by bacteria.

Combinations:

The effect of a combination with other substances is not known. Using more than 2 preparations in a combination is at your own risk.

Water temperature:

Fish parasites are cold-blooded, which means that at lower temperatures their metabolism decreases. Below 10°C, Morenicol Lernex Pro is not sufficiently absorbed by the parasite. If possible, we recommend increasing the water temperature to improve absorption.

Skin and Gill flukes:

Skin and Gill worms are flat sucking worms of 0.3-0.5 mm in size, which are now regularly found on our pond fish.

Gyrodactylus is the skin worm that is viviparous and can therefore reproduce quickly and en masse. As it crawls on the skin, it thickens and a gray slimy layer is formed.

The gill fluke is called Dactylogyrus and is egg-laying. It damages and irritates the gills, causing them to thicken and no longer function properly. The fish rub their gill covers on plants and stones. If they deteriorate, they swim with open gill covers due to shortness of breath and can even die. Recently, more and more cases have become known in which skin worms (Gyrodactylus) in particular were resistant to commonly used agents, such as triclabendazole, levamisole, fenbendazole and piperazine.

After extensive research, Colombo has therefore found a new anti-worm drug for fish that is effective against resistant worms: Nitroscanate.

Nitroscanate is effective even at very low concentrations when administered once.

To increase effectiveness and therefore reduce the risk of resistance, Nitroscanate has been combined with Praziquantel and Flubendazole in a unique medicine.

Use of this medication is at your own risk. Before adding to the pond, first consult the package leaflet.

Leave UV lamps, ozone generators, algae magnets and carbon filters turned off for 10 to 15 days after the last application. It is best to thoroughly clean the existing mechanical and recirculation filters before the treatment and to leave them on during the treatment, so that larvae in the filter can also be killed.

YOUTUBE VIDEO SKINWORM ( Gyrodactylus ).

This worm is viviparous (that means it gives birth to live young) and you can see the young in the abdomen (note the hooks in the abdomen)

This worm is easily recognizable under the microscope at a magnification of 50 times or more.

YOUTUBE VIDEO GILLWORM ( Dactylogyrus )

This worm is egg-laying (you don't see any young in the abdomen). Furthermore, this worm has 4 eyespots that are visible.

This worm is easily recognizable under the microscope at a magnification of 50 times or more.
